How does the course work?

Assessments and Course Structure

All the children who have been registered with MasterClass are assessed in January or February when they are in Year 4. (If you register your child later than this, you may find that there are no places available.)

 

I then give parents a very honest appraisal of their child’s abilities. If I accept a child for the course, he or she will start the course in Year 5 in October/November, after the Autumn Half-term; the course then runs once a week in term time until the exams in the following September. 

I hold classes in Great Missenden (the Oldham Hall) and Wendover (St Anne's Hall and the Wendover Library Meeting Room), usually on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5.00pm to 7.00pm, and on Saturday mornings. I like to keep class sizes to a maximum of twelve.
